South Eastman English and Literacy Services
is a non-profit, charitable organization providing language and literacy classes to adults since 1991. Our classes help adults improve their English speaking, listening, reading and writing skills needed for daily life, work and for further training. All classes are free.

Literacy Upgrading
Free classes that focus on improving reading and writing, math or computer skills for daily life, work and further education.
Families Learning Together
This program is for parents with children ages 6 and younger. Improve your reading and writing, make friends and share ideas.

Eligibility Criteria
Be a resident of Manitoba as a
Canadian Citizen
Permanent Resident
Worker or Visitor with Visa
Be able to have a simple conversation in English, both speaking and listening
Volunteer
Interested in a fulfilling volunteer teaching opportunity? At SEELS, gain enjoyable, valuable classroom experience by assisting instructors, helping students learn during class, and/or one-on-one tutoring.
